The 27th National Competition for Instrumentalists and Singers "Svetoslav Obretenov" in Provadia will be opened with 27 bells. The opening is from 19.00 on April 7 in the house-museum of the composer, who is a native of Provadia. After that, a concert with performances by the members of the jury will be held in the community center in the city, as well as with the participation of the winners of the competition from previous years Hassan and Ibrahim.
Nearly 100 participants will be present this year, Antoaneta Georgieva of the municipal culture department told Varna Radio. The competition is unique in that only works by Bulgarian composers in piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, horn, percussion and singing are performed.
The competition program starts on April 8. The awarding of the participants from the 1st and 2nd age groups, as well as their concert will take place on April 9. On April 10 is the awarding and the concert of the participants from the III age group and the solemn closing of the competition.
