[71] Pleven Guitar Festival

The Pleven Guitar Festival took place 8 times between 2015 and 2022. Its specialty is classic guitar, acoustic guitar, and composition. The location is the city of Pleven. The organizer is The Art Close to Me Association and “LIK-1959” Community Center Pleven, Bulgaria. The Artistic director, creator and main organizer of the festival is Nikolay Mihaylov – teacher at the National School of Arts “Panayot Pipkov” – Pleven, guitar player, composer of film music and a member of the Art Close to Me Association.

This competition uses online platforms actively and provides live streaming and communications with the public and participants. Moreover, it developed a software program for real-time evaluating and calculating scores of the jury, so as to avoid discussion among jury members and to verify the objectivity of decision process.

The sixth edition of the Pleven Guitar Festival in 2020, for the first time was held entirely online via the official International Guitar Festival Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and Twitter profiles, titled as “World Online Guitar Competition”.
