[61] The International Competition for Chamber Ensembles and Solo Performers Borovets

The International Competition for Chamber Ensembles and Solo Performers Borovets is organized by the Association "Music Context" - a non-profit legal entity for public benefit activities.
The competition's missions are:
- to motivate, support and assist the performances of a wide range of performers on the difficult path of musical art;
- to enrich and develop cultural exchange between participants, jury and audience;
- to promote and preserve the values of musical art;
- to assist in enriching the cultural calendar and developing cultural tourism in the Sofia region and Samokov municipality.

The financial support comes from the Ministry of Culture, municipalities, NGOs, private businesses and individuals who support our mission.

The previous form of this competition, "The National Competitio for Chamber Music" was founded in 2012, which continued to 2016, every year in Samokovo and Svoghe, by Mr. Yasen Churukov, cultural activist, long-time impresario and chairman of the Association "Music Context". In 2017 the competition reborn with a new title, expanding its categories. Mr. Yasen Chrukov passed away on 29.03.2021. However, the competition continues to be organized by the Association "Music Context".
