[45] International Competition for Austrian Instrumental Chamber Music

The International Competition for Austrian Instrumental Chamber Music was held 4 times from 2008 to 2014. Its specialty is chamber music. The hosting city was Sofia. The competition is organized by the "Friends of Austrian Music" association and the "Chamber Music" department at the "P. Vladigerov" National Academy of Music. The competition was financed by the supports of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Bulgaria and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Goals of the competition: Through chamber music, as a higher form of music making, to stimulate the performance of new and unknown chamber works by contemporary and classical Austrian composers; to enrich the repertoire of young artists by mastering the wealth of ideas, emotions and moods that both classical and contemporary Austrian chamber-instrumental music brings.
