[20] International Franz Schubert Competition

The International Franz Schubert Competition was held 11 times from 1997 to 2017. Its specialty is piano, classic singing, and chamber music. The piano specialty is divided into piano solo and piano four hands ensemble. It is hosted in the city of Rousse, organized by the Veselin Stoyanov National School of Arts. 

Until the 13rd edition in 2021, over 900 performers from over 30 countries appeared on its stage, including Russia, Japan, South Korea, China, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Canada, the USA, etc.

Traditionally, the grand prize winnerof the competition has an opportunity of a concert in Vienna , which is performed in the Bulgarian Cultural Center "Dom Wittgenstein" in Vienna. The winners also have the chance to be invited to the concert program of the "March Music Days" International Festival.
