VI International Competition for Chamber Ensembles and Solo Performers Borovets (ICACI-Borovets)
will be held from 24 to 26 June 2022 in Samokov Hotel, Borovets resort.
MKKASI-Borovets invites talented young musicians who have excellent musical skills, strong character and outstanding stage behavior. Performers of all classical instruments, vocals and ensembles, pop and jazz performers and ensembles, folk ensembles and solo performers are allowed.
The goals of the competition are to motivate, encourage and support the performances of young performers on the difficult path of musical art, to preserve and promote classical, jazz and folk music, to enrich and develop the cultural exchange between music artists.
CATEGORIES, AGE GROUPS AND DURATION
The age of the participants is determined as of the start date of the competition - June 24, 2022. incl. In ensembles, the average age of the participants is summed. The program is free, according to the set duration, and it is recommended that the works have a different character. Upon reaching the specified minutes, the jury will interrupt the participants.
CLASSICS
Solo artist:
- keyboard instruments (piano and accordion + harp *), string instruments, guitar, wind instruments, singing; DURATION
Group I (from 7 to 8 years inclusive) Up to 5 minutes
Group II (from 9 to 10 years inclusive) Up to 8 minutes
Group III (from 11 years to 13 years inclusive) Up to 10 minutes
Group IV (from 14 to 17 years incl.) Up to 15 minutes
Group V (from 18 to 24 inclusive) Up to 17 minutes
Group VI (from 25 years of age upwards) Up to 20 minutes
* All participants in the category CLASSICS - solo artist present their works by heart. Exceptions are works by contemporary composers.
** Harps are judged by a jury of keyboard instruments.

To register for participation you need to send all required documents in one email to: music.borovets@gmail.com with the title REGISTRATION and NAME of the candidate / ensemble.

Other expenses:
- travel expenses, food and accommodation are at the expense of the participant;
- the competition does not provide accompanists;
- bank and commission fees, as well as costs for obtaining diplomas by courier are at the expense of the participants.
Incomplete emails and those without a correctly filled in title will not be considered. When the places are exhausted, the organizers reserve the right to stop accepting documents before this date. In case of non-appearance of the competition - the transferred fee is not refundable. The submission of documents for participation in the competition is an agreement with the regulations of the competition, as well as an agreement for taking and distributing photos and videos for advertising purposes.
RESULTS
Lists of the results will be announced on Facebook, after the jury meeting on Sunday, just before the Gala concert. Later they will be published on the site, in the section "Laureates".
AWARDS AND EVALUATION
The evaluation is performed by means of a point system (1-100). All participants who won 100 points won the Absolute First Place (the number is limited) and will participate in the gala concert of the winners, one of whom will win the Grand Prix.
