Acceptance of documents for participation in the 16th edition of the competition for young performers of classical musical instruments in Pernik has started, the Palace of Culture announced. For the second time, the music competition will be held online - by sending videos to the participants.
The contenders compete in three sections: piano and accordion, string instruments, wind and percussion instruments.
They can perform individually and in chamber formations. Both amateurs and graduates of music schools have the opportunity to show their talent. The music competition includes two or more freely selected works of different nature within a certain duration.
The competition will be opened on April 29 at 18:00 in the Palace of Culture, will be held in one round. All participants will receive diplomas. Diplomas and medals for first, second and third place are awarded for each age group and category. Traditionally, the award of the mayor of Pernik "Grand Prix" will be presented - a statuette and BGN 500 for an extremely bright gift. The Cervantes-Sofia Institute and the Education Department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain will also award prizes for works by Spanish or Ibero-American composers. There are awards for the youngest participant, high pedagogical achievements, best accompanist and more.
