NATIONAL COMPETITION

FOR PERFORMANCE OF BULGARIAN MUSICAL WORK

VARBAN VARBANOV

The national competition for the performance of the Bulgarian musical work "Varban Varbanov" has been organized by the National School of Music and Performing Arts "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" - Burgas since 1964. It is held with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas, the Ministry of Culture, the District Administration of Burgas and the School Board "Native Sounds". The competition regulations include participants in two categories - students from general education schools, children's music schools, private educators; graduates of art schools at the Ministry of Culture. The competition does not take place in late March and early April. There are three age groups: - primary, junior high school and high school. The competition is for all musical instruments, classical singing, pop and jazz singing, chamber music, piano accompaniment. For the specialties classical singing, pop and jazz singing, chamber music and piano accompaniment, the competition was held only in the III age group.
